Hong Kong is recognised as one of the world’s most competitive economy. It has always been maintaining an open environment for business activities and commerce. Invest Hong Kong (InvestHK) is tasked to attract and retain foreign direct investment, and works with overseas and Mainland entrepreneurs, SMEs and multinationals who are planning to set up or expand their business in Hong Kong. The TV series “Hong Kong Business Made Easy”, co-produced by RTHK and InvestHK, will tell the success stories of enterprises in Hong Kong, as well as the support and assistance that InvestHK has provided.
Director of Broadcasting Eddie CHEUNG and Director-General of Investment Promotion Alpha LAU, joined together by representatives of companies featured in the programme, shared their Lunar New Year greetings in a press conference today (23rd February) and introduced the content of the new TV series.
Eddie CHEUNG expressed in his speech that it was the first time that RTHK collaborated with InvestHK to produce a TV series. He specified the TV series would be in trilingual (Cantonese, Putonghua and English) so as to reach the global audience. Alpha LAU mentioned in her speech that she hoped the TV programme could let the public know more about InvestHK’s services and professional support. The two officiating guests then hosted a traditional lion dance eye-dotting ceremony to celebrate the auspicious Year of the Dragon and convey well wishes to all business sectors.
17 enterprises featured in the TV programme “HK-Business Made Easy” are from various industries, namely KIN, Hyakunousha International Limited, UOW College of Hong Kong, The Great Room, d’strict, Creative Technology, Digital Art Fair, Aereve, Synpulse Hong Kong and Shenzhen, istyle Retail (HK) Co. Ltd, Lao Feng Xiang Jewellery Hong Kong Limited, Paul Lafayet, Ernst & Young, UISEE Technologies (HK) Limited, Ushio Hong Kong Limited, WESTWELL and Isola Capital.
“Hong Kong Business Made Easy” Press Conference was hosted by programme presenter Sarah SONG. The English version of the programme is now on TV31 every Saturday at 7:30pm, while Chinese version will premiere from 27th February, every Tuesday at 7:35pm on TV31. The live broadcasts of the programme and the archived version are available on RTHK website (tv.rthk.hk) and mobile app “RTHK TV”.
