Radio and television broadcasting hold a place in our everyday life.  Since 1928, the Hong Kong broadcasting industry has developed from a non-governmental broadcasting organization and enters its 90^th anniversary this year.  To celebrate the development milestone, Radio Television Hong Kong (RTHK) and Hong Kong Heritage Museum have jointly organized an exhibition “90 Years of Public Service Broadcasting in Hong Kong” showcasing the development of RTHK and Hong Kong’s broadcasting industry.

　　The Acting Chief Executive Teresa CHENG Yeuk-wah officiated at the opening ceremony of the exhibition at the Hong Kong Heritage Museum today (6^th November) with guests including the Permanent Secretary for Commerce & Economic Development (Communications & Creative Industries) Clement LEUNG; Director of Leisure and Cultural Services (LCSD) Michelle LI; Director of Broadcasting LEUNG Ka-wing; icon of performing arts Alan TAM; and the Museum Director of Hong Kong Heritage Museum Fione LO.  The officiating guests then joined with hundreds of local broadcast gurus and veterans, as well as the parties who supported and provided their precious exhibits, for a massive group photo.  Such large-scale group photo symbolizes one of the milestones in Hong Kong’s broadcasting history.

　　“90 Years of Public Service Broadcasting in Hong Kong” Exhibition Opening Ceremony was hosted by Candy CHEA and SO King-hang.  The exhibition, which will run from 7^th November to 25^th February 2019 intheHongKong Heritage Museum, is jointly presented by the LCSD and RTHK.  It features historic photos of various broadcasting bodies and items and audio-visual clips collected by RTHK.  Special programmes will be organized during the exhibition period.
