“Solar Project 2013” will include a wide variety of activities during summer and is a major event for the “Hong Kong: Our Home” Campaign under the “Hip Hong Kong” Working Group. Themed as “The Pursuit of Dreams”, this year it emphasises that young people should gear up and get ready to aspire to reach their goals.

During the ceremony, guests took the opportunity to encourage young people to enrol as “Solar Ambassadors”.

In particular, the Chief Secretary for Administration Carrie LAM shared memories of her most unforgettable summers as well as her keys to achieving your dreams.

Canto-pop icon Jacky CHEUNG joined hands with Eason CHAN to share their teenage memories. They were later presented with petite “Solar Project 2013” T-shirts by Director of Broadcasting Roy TANG, for their efforts to nourish the Project’s spirit among younger generations.

The singers together with Eric KWOK and Abrahim CHAN also received certificates of appreciation from Mrs. LAM for their splendid production of “Sail On” – the theme song for the “Hong Kong: Our Home” Campaign.

Another highlight of the kick-off ceremony was showing a video clip of “Hong Kong: Our Home – Youth Dreams”. Starring a group of 2012 “Solar Ambassadors”, the video brought out the spirit of mutual help and care for making a better Hong Kong.
