Post Malone

Austin Richard Post (born July 4, 1995), known professionally as Post Malone, is an American rapper, singer, songwriter and record producer.

Born in Syracuse, New York and raised in Grapevine, Texas post Malone is of partial Native American descent.

Inspired by Guitar Hero TV game Post began to play the guitar and auditioned for the band Crown the Empire in 2010, but was rejected after his guitar strings broke during the audition. According to Post, his very first foray into professional music began when he was in a heavy metal band. Soon after, he says he transitioned to softer rock as well as hip-hop.

Post created his first mixtape, Young and After Them Riches. He showed it to some of his classmates at Grapevine High School. He was voted "Most Likely to Become Famous" by his classmates as a senior in high school.

According to Post, he chose Post Malone as his stage name when he was 14 or 15 eaplaining that 'Post' is his last name, he used a "rap name generator" to get "Malone.

Malone rose to fame in the mid-2010s following the release of his debut single "White Iverson". The song, which peaked at fourteen on the Billboard Hot 100 and later certified quadruple platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), garnered Malone a recording contract with Republic Records. He released his debut studio album Stoney in 2016, which debuted at number six on the Billboard

200. The album, which featured the double platinum top-10 hit "Congratulations".

In 2018 Post Malone relased his second album Beerbongs & Bentleys. It topped the UK Album Charts and The Billboard 200. Upon release, the album would break several streaming records en route to debuting at number one on the Billboard 200, while also gaining platinum certification in the first four days of release and featured the hits "Rockstar" "Psycho" and "Ball For Me".

Hollywood's Bleeding is the third studio album by American rapper and singer Post Malone. It was released on September 6, 2019 and became his second chart topping album. It was supported by six singles: "Wow", "Goodbyes", "Circles", "Enemies", "Allergic", and "Take What You Want". The first three songs peaked at number two, three, and one on the US Billboard Hot 100, respectively. The album also includes the Billboard Hot 100 number one single, "Sunflower"
