In response to the verdict made by the Communications Authority (CA) on the complaints against RTHK English programme “The Pulse” of 28 March 2020, RTHK gave a reply as follows:

Radio Television Hong Kong (RTHK) noted the verdict made by the Communications Authority on the complaints against the RTHK English programme “The Pulse” of 28 March 2020.

Although the relevant episode does not contravene the “Code of Practice”, RTHK understands that controversy concerning that episode was aroused among the society.  RTHK has learnt from the experience. RTHK would ensure that its programmes are in accordance with the public purposes and mission as stipulated in “RTHK Charter”, and its producers possess a clear and accurate understanding of the “One Country” principle.
