Aligning with the theme ‘Sports and All’, the celebration featured performances by the Hong Kong Breaking Women's Team, who are participating in the qualifier to the debut of breaking (break dancing) at the Paris 2024 Olympics, the KMYLS Cheerleading Team, and the Zhongruan soloist Eddie KUNG Ka-Ho, one of the RTHK Radio 4 ‘Young Music Makers’. Attendees also included charity representatives and members of donor organisations.

15 beneficiaries will be funded for this year's fundraising drive. They include charities serving the causes of children and youth, the community, the environment, medical treatment, and those with physical and mental disabilities. OSC 2022 holds a strong sports theme, with a five-a-side football tournament to be held on 27 November at the Happy Valley Sportsground, co-organised with the Hong Kong Football Club. A wide range of exciting fundraising activities organised by OSC donors and supporters will also take place in November and December, to spread more fun, joy, and awareness this Christmas.

To encourage participation, the most outstanding supporters of this year’s OSC will be recognised at the end of the campaign, with special awards, namely Top Corporate Fundraiser, Top School Fundraiser, Most Creative Fundraiser, Most Creative School, and OSC’s Santa Helper Award. All of which will be announced during the closing ceremony of OSC in early 2023.

The OSC 35th Anniversary Celebration was hosted by popular RTHK Radio 3 presenter Alyson HAU.  The entire event was broadcast live today on RTHK Radio 3’s YouTube channel (youtube.com/Radio3RTHK3) and the Facebook page of  ‘Operation Santa Claus HK 愛心聖誕大行動’ (facebook.com/opsantahk).
