Today (28^th May), in the event "Trilingual and Caring Broadcast for Paris Olympics & Paris Paralympics Kickoff on RTHK with CMG, BRTV and GRT", Radio Television Hong Kong (RTHK) unveiled a series of special programmes with the presence of its partners.

　　During the Paris 2024 Olympics and Paralympics, RTHK will join hands with CMG, BRTV and GRT to relay the latest Olympic news as well as to cheer for the National team and Hong Kong, China team. To meet the diverse needs of audiences, the Games will be broadcast in Cantonese, Putonghua and English with sign language and audio description services.

　　To echo the Paris 2024 Olympics’ goal of being the greenest Games ever, RTHK will present a series of programmes on ESG issues, including the programme "Environment Matters, Your Action Matters More" in collaboration with the Environmental Protection Department, to promote environment-conscious education and the core universal values of environmental protection and sustainability.

　　RTHK has been working closely with Mainland TV stations apart from the Olympics broadcast. In addition to formalizing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with GRT yesterday (27^th May), RTHK signed a separate MoU with BRTV today. The signing ceremony was hosted by Director of Broadcasting Eddie CHEUNG and Deputy Chief Editor of BRTV LI Xiulei. A series of productions by BRTV will soon be aired on RTHK TV channels celebrating the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China.

　　The event today was launched by officiating guests including the Secretary for Culture, Sports and Tourism Kevin YEUNG, Deputy Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China in the HKSAR PAN Yundong, Director of Broadcasting Eddie CHEUNG, the President of the Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong Timothy FOK, and President of Hong Kong Paralympic Committee Jenny FUNG. They were joined by the Deputy Head of China Media Group (CMG) Asia Pacific LI Feng, Deputy Chief Editor of Beijing Radio & Television Station (BRTV) LI Xiulei, Bureau Chief of China Radio and Television Hong Kong Bureau WANG Xikai, Head of Guangdong Radio and Television (GRT) Sports Channel HUANG Hong, Chairman of the RTHK Board of Advisors Dr. LAM Tai-fai, Legislative Councillor Vincent CHENG and President of Football Association of Hong Kong PUI Kwan-kay.

　　Besides, Hong Kong para-badminton athlete CHU Man-kai gave his support to the collaboration while sports TV presenters Vincent NG, Emil CHEUNG, Maggie LAM, Tiffany TANG, badminton commentator Vincent WONG and “Sports in RTHK” programme host Vincent CHENG shared more details about the upcoming Olympic-related programmes.
